Happy Holidays everyone! I got these done faster than I thought, I stayed up most of last night judging and putting them into categories. Today I babysat so I rewatched them according to each category in order to make sure the very best won. You guys have NO IDEA how many videos were on the cusp, and ended up very close fourth-placers. I'm so sorry everyone couldn't win, the amount of talent was unprecedented for this site.
The next round will open 1 January 2008 with new rules, additional categories, two new special awards, and the usual two-week limit. :D
There was a fantastic video in this round that was thrown out for using pirated clips. No matter how much I like a video, rules are rules, and I won't accept pirated clips. I won't pretend I haven't awarded them before, but when it's OBVIOUS that the clips are pirated, I'm sorry, I can't accept it.

Superman's Dead by Firefly_Ca
The high comedic factor of this video did a lot to alleviate the numerous dark and angsty videos I watched for this round. "You know who's a true hero? Hiro, from Heroes. Also Bono." I also loved that you included his description of "the real superheroes" at the beginning. I also noticed your excellent timing, especially on the beats at the end. This was a great parody/character study, one of my favorite videos of all time! :D

As a non-supporter of Sylar/Claire, this AU was done so well that I could have been converted if I wasn't so irritated with both of them! The kiss especially, where he's kissing Maya and she's kissing West, was very convincing, well done! Great effects and excellent timing!

Di, unless you decide to do another one, there will never be a Sirius Black tribute video as good as this one. I loved the fuzzy feeling to the effects, and it was a true tearjerker. Great song choice, and as always, great editing. Thank Pooky for me when you get the chance.

Having never seen this movie, this video could very well have done nothing for me. Instead their friendship leapt from the screen at the start, and the building tension and conflict continued from there until I found myself truly affected by the emotion. You did a great job, it was full of angst and it was a great adaptation of the movie.
Behind Blue Eyes by Paula
As difficult as it was to judge this round, this video had every component down pat. The editing was superb, the storyline was cogent and entertaining, and the effects were unlike any other effects in the round, so this video stands above the rest. This is truly fantastic, and above all, an excellent character study of Adam Monroe, "the bad man behind blue eyes."
